Study name | Was the Sabbath Changed? |
Study code | SC |
Next to the opening note in the back of your Bible write: Neither Christ nor His disciples changed the Sabbath. Since the Bible does not record any change, we know it must have happened after the Bible was written. | |
Daniel 7:25 | The only law that has to do with time is the 4th comm. The Catholic Church asserts that it changed the Sabbath to Sunday. It points to this as a mark of its authority. [See the quotes at the end of this study.] |
Exekiel 22:26 | |
Ezekiel 22:31 | God pours out His wrath on the leaders who ignore the true Sabbath. |
Matthew 15:6–9 | Never put man's traditions above God's commandments. |
Deuteronomy 4:2 | |
Numbers 23:20 | The blessing on the Sabbath (Ex. 20:11) cannot be reversed. |
1 Chronicles 17:27 | When God blessed the Sabbath, it was blessed forever. |

Note: Viewing Strong's numbers will give you the number after each word. If you wish to just look up a verse, I would suggest not selecting that choice.
